Here is my final of just a random Alice in wonderland scene I wanted it to be more from the book and not the new movie. Also I know the roses in the back look kind of weird but I wanted them to look like they were colored badly since the white roses have to be painted red.
So I took the original Tron poster style from 1982 and blended it with the new art style for the new Tron to make this final piece. I really like it and I have more plans for it this is just what I have for it currently.
For my final I decided to update a somewhat speed painting I did in class. Below is the original. What I did was give more depth and detail to the wings as well as fix the head and give little twirly things.
This isn't completely done, but I thought it was good enough to turn in. There's still some things that I wish I could have done better like the hands. On that note, he's supposed to have a sword in one hand but like I said, I didn't have time. As usual I didn't use an techniques that were really fancy, just using the default brush with varying hardness and flow. I used the dodge/burn tool for the legs which I normally don't like using but I didn't just want to paint over it with lighter/darker shades.
Ok I lied its not the best car but it is my final project and my affordable dream car....kinda but anyway. Things I like to say about it is that the lighting doesn't work at all but I was just so focused on the car that I didn't even think about my back ground till after it was finished. so sorry lolz but anyway I still like the way this turned out and will probably change the back ground later. This is by far the car I have ever created.
Decided to go back and do a self portrait after working on one a few semesters ago. Used an older photo of myself as a reference to help get the color and lighting correct. Nothing too complicated but was fun to try.
For my final project I decided to paint a sketch I did a while ago. I didn't add a background to it because I wanted the bear to stand out and couldn't really decide on a background that I felt would help the bear do that.
This little dude just kinda appeared from a group of clouds in the upper left hand corner. He was on his side up in that corner and I thought he needed to stand upright. There's a filter on the foremost layer that makes it look like rain and one on the back that adds depth. I think it kinda makes the little dude look like he's trying to take shelter from the rain under the dead tree.
So for Project 4, the idea just came to me to draw an evil, demonic starfish. Don't know how or why, I just know that it liked being drawn. There are a few filters on here to make the it look all liquidy and whatnot. ^^
I decided to continue developing a speed painting I did a few weeks ago for this landscape project. I'm happy with the way it came out, but I couldn't decide if I like the version with the frame and filter or the one without, so I decided to upload them both.
Not particularly happy with it but here it is. It is suppose to be a beach landscape and rather than going off a picture or a real scene I went from memory.
